Increasing Business 900% in One Year

Bonnie, the owner of a medical billing company, brought her team of 11 salespeople to attend a Performance in Motion workshop focused on business development and problem solving. All of the salespeople were non-golfers and skeptical. That all changed with a putting exercise. The exercise, based on our unique approach for holistic success that targets the mind and body, helped them recognize unneeded businesses processes were bogging them down.

By focusing on new business approaches the business exploded, increasing 900% for the year.

90 New Clients in 5 Months

Don knew his company would not survive without a change in direction. His company needed to grow in the midst of a struggling economy. We had to improve relationships and communicate more effectively with staff and current clients. Don’s executive and management team participated in Performance In Motion’s Performance Workshops. Don explains that “by helping us define what we wanted out of our business and by focusing all our energy in meeting that goal, Dan helped us discover new possibilities. And in terms of

working relationships, we’re communicating better with each other and enjoying working together as a staff more than ever.” Don’s story highlights a core Performance in Motion principle. Stop working so hard. Instead, think differently.

Achieving Professional and Personal Goals

A local television news reporter, Mark, was a doing a story about Performance in Motion several years ago that led him to become a client. Focusing on the target led him to rethink what was important for him at work, what he enjoyed doing, and how that intersected with his family. After working with Performance in Motion, Mark made a major career change. He is happier with his work, nearly doubled his income, and now his wife to able to stay home with the kids. At Performance in Motion, we know success does not happen in a vacuum. Our unique approach recognizes both the connection between various areas of our lives and then

addresses holistic success by targeting the mind and body.

Saving $300,000

The vice president of a major financial institution knew his team needed to change the way they were thinking to achieve key initiatives. Performance in Motion led a putting exercise where the team putted in a variety of ways including the “regular way”, with their eyes closed, with one hand, and by looking only at the hole. Every team member did better putting an “irregular way” versus the “regular way.” Yet when we held a competitive match later in the day, they all chose to putt in the “regular way” even though they had better results earlier in the day using other methods. This helped the team recognize that, like their putting, they had

to look at their work differently. They applied their broadened perspective and ability to see new possibilities to their work and saved $300,000.

Improving Golf

Josh, the owner of an investment company, came to Performance in Motion because he wanted to develop a more consistent golf came and enjoy himself more on the course. But that is not the only thing that improved for Josh. He reflected on our commitment to coaching by saying, “What I found most interesting is that Dan took an approach with me that I take with my own clients. He first asked me what I wanted to accomplish with my golf game, what my expectations were, and how I wanted to proceed. This was totally different from other professional golf lessons I had taken that told me what to do and started immediately with the mechanics of my swing—how I was supposed to hold the club, where my feet should be positioned, and what I needed to work on in terms of my stance.” His wife reflected that his work with Performance in Motion, “has helped him in all areas of his life.” His successes include making his first hole-in-one and increasing his clients by 25%.
